Mechanical production

Coam sells shafts and and long bars on client specification and is equipped for turning of shafts and long bars with diameter ranging between 35 and 320 mm and outside honing up to 290 mm with lengths up to 12 m.

The maximum weight that our machines can bear between the centers is about 3.000 Kg. With the help of rests we can work even heavier bars but in this case the workability must be evaluated for each single piece.

We work construction steel, stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy steel:
- for example 39 NiCrMo3, AISI 304, AISI 316, STE 690.

In our warehouse we have various measures of seamless cold-drawn or welded tubes and rolled tubes ready to be worked. If we don’t have the material you require in our warehouse our suppliers can provide it in few days. For relevant quantities (3-10 ton) or for materials we normally use, the material is tailor- ordered directly to the ironworks with consequent considerable spare of money.

COAM is certified ISO 9001 since 1994 and supplies installations with LLOYD and RINA naval certification.

Our welding procedures are certified by “Istituto Italiano della Saldatura” (Italian institute for welding) in compliance with the norms ASME and UNI.
