2005 Hydraulic components for the Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 (T5) in London. Heathrow is the world's busiest international airport and T5 is designed to alleviate congestion at Heathrow's other terminals, which are all slated for refurbishment or replacement in the coming years. Terminal 5 was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on the 14 March 2008 and opened to passengers on 27 March 2008: special lifts without pit needed to move disabled people from the jumbo arrival. They are designed to move upward and downward with speed of 1 m/s or 0,15 m/s in order to reduce the operating times. The choice of the speed is based on the presence of passengers inside the lift. For each of the twelve lift we supplied one telescopic cylinders ΓΈ 50 2 stages and a specially designed power units with double pump 3/9 kW and special configuration.
